October 2022 Update

Happy fall all!!! 

This month we are celebrating Halloween on October 31st. Employees are decorating for Trunk-or-Treat. We will be serving chili dogs, chips, and drinks. Residents will be either on the porch or sitting beside a vehicle as we greet our trick-or-treaters! Please send candy for the children that the residents can hand out. You can have that shipped here or bring it to the office. Please join us. I pray it is a nice weather day!

If you haven’t met Tony yet, please do! Tony is our maintenance technician. He is wonderful and so good with the residents! Tony also works on our 3rd shift taking care of residents. I have been watching him on camera and he is so compassionate that it warms my soul.

I am going to be really honest with you all about laundry and sheets. We are having a difficult time keeping up with the laundry and the sheet washing. There are over 30 residents’ laundry to process and almost half of them have laundry every day.  We are doing our best to keep up with the demand. We are having issues with sheets not ending up in the correct room. We are trying to get it all done across the 3 shifts among 11 employees per day.  I am looking for solutions and would greatly appreciate any advice. This seems to be a common problem among facilities like ours! I don’t want it to be here!

 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting in us to care for your loved one. This is a task we do not take lightly! We love them as our own. I am truly honored and will always make sure I have the right employees to show love and compassion as you would.
